A North Texas school district has just ruled that teachers may carry concealed weapons:
“When the federal government started making schools gun-free zones, that’s when all of these shootings started. Why would you put it out there that a group of people can’t defend themselves? That’s like saying ‘sic ’em’ to a dog,” Thweatt said in Friday’s online edition of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The school district feels that teachers should be able to defend themselves against potential school shootings. Apparently, the nearest police station is over 30 miles away, and the campus sits nearby U.S. 287, a heavily trafficked highway.
Is this seriously what my country is coming to? Wait a minute…Texas, why don’t you just go ahead and secede from the union already? Seriously.
